The lists of the top law firms and attorneys are based on a survey conducted by the Handelsblatt Research Institute, in which more than 1340 lawyers from 176 law firms were asked to name the most renowned colleagues. A jury of experts selected the most highly recommended lawyers on the basis of the survey results.
