Frithjof Roschlaub advises and represents national and international companies as well as entrepreneurs from all sectors of industry in contentious matters. As an experienced litigator, he has particular expertise in strategic advice in the run-up to anticipated disputes, in out-of-court dispute resolution, and in the enforcement and defence of claims before state courts, arbitral tribunals and in alternative dispute resolution proceedings.

His practice focuses on disputes arising from disturbed contractual relationships and liability claims in the area of general civil and commercial law (Commercial Litigation). In addition, he has a strong focus on disputes with a corporate law nexus, in particular shareholder disputes (Corporate Litigation), directors’ and officers’ liability (D&O Litigation) and post-transaction disputes in connection with corporate acquisitions (post M&A Litigation).

In major loss scenarios, the interaction with any relevant insurance policies (in particular general liability, D&O and W&I insurance) often plays a key role, as issues of coverage, scope of insurance and willingness to indemnify can significantly shape the dynamics of litigation and settlement negotiations. His extensive experience as a litigator also regularly feeds into the drafting of contracts, in particular in the corporate context, as many disputes can be avoided through forward-looking contract design and the early identification of potential points of conflict.
