The August summit is the first part of a two part initiative that will be taking place simultaneously in dozens of cities across the globe. It is a first of its kind multi party initiative that brings jurisdictions together globally in understanding and exploring the development of legislative frameworks for dealing with emerging technologies and global systems.

SKW Schwarz was selected to be the host for Munich because of its role in legal innovation, and the potential it has to be a prime candidate for support of the WLS initiative in its jurisdiction. SKW Schwarz will be inviting leaders from Germany across the technology, legal, government, and regulatory sectors, to participate in the inaugural initiative. The intent will be to secure better understanding of legislation and regulatory structures dealing with emerging technologies, so that the development of these technologies may be better suited for a sustainable global future.

“In times of rapid changes our lawyers are particularly devoted to advising companies from various sectors at the forefront of technical and legal developments. Hosting the WLS is a great opportunity for us to share our experience and to learn from practitioners in different countries”, says Stefan C. Schicker, LL.M., Managing Partner, SKW Schwarz.

“We are honoured to have SKW Schwarz join the first year of the World Legal Summit, and believe their team is well equipped to get the right stakeholders from across Germany to the discussion”, said Aileen Schultz, President, World Legal Summit. “We are incredibly enthusiastic to see the contributions that come out of Munich”.
