SKW Schwarz appoints three partners internally

SKW Schwarz appoints three partners from its own ranks: Sabine Kröger, Florian Hensel, and Dr. Johann Heyde have been admitted to the partnership effective January 1, 2018. Sabine Kröger (40) is a Certified Specialist in commercial and corporate law as well as for banking and capital market law. She advises national and international companies, executives, and shareholders in contract, corporate, banking, and business law. As an experienced litigator, she also comprehensively represents her clients in court. Ms. Kröger specializes in advising credit institutions on all issues relating to banking contract and banking liability law, in particular on loan and loan collateral law, compliance and data protection law, representing them in trials to defend against claims by customers and investors. In addition, she advises German and foreign financial services and payment institutions from the payment/FinTech sector in banking supervisory law, payment transaction law, and money laundering law and represents them in regulatory licensing procedures.

Florian Hensel (43) advises platforms, service providers, digital media, and e-tailers comprehensively in digital business matters. His expertise covers the regulatory environment, B2B and B2C contractual relationships, as well as consumer protection and advertising. His work covers all phases from strategy, implementation to litigation. Florian Hensel focuses on unfair commercial practices law, financial services regulation, public media law, protection of minors, and copyright law as well as IT, data protection and telecommunications. Rooted in his former function as in-house counsel with a global technology and media group, a focus is advising international clients in the media and platform sectors.

Dr. Johann Heyde (41) specializes in media, publishing and entertainment law. He advises national and international movie and TV productions in issues relating to movie financing, film subsidies, rights clearance, license contracts, litigation, etc. He has particular expertise in music law, including the law of collecting societies. Dr. Heyde also focuses on advising on digital business: he advises internet portals, online services, and other digital media on T&Cs, consumer protection, advertising and unfair commercial practices law as well as licensing and distribution of content on the internet.
