SKW Schwarz advises Vascotube on sale to Cirtec Medical

SKW Schwarz advised the shareholders of Vascotube GmbH on the sale of 100% of the company’s shares to Cirtec Medical, the prevailing buyer in a structured sales process. Vascotube’s current management team will remain in their leadership roles with the company even after conclusion of the transaction. The parties agreed not to disclose the purchase price. Vascotube GmbH, based in Birkenfeld near Pforzheim, Germany, is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of implantable nitinol tubing used in minimally invasive implantable medical devices. Founded in 2004, the company supplies customers from the medical sector in Europe and the USA.

Cirtec Medical, a member of globally operating 3i Group, is a leading provider of design and manufacturing services for implantable surgical devices. Its product portfolio includes implantable devices in the areas of neuromodulation, drug delivery, and cardiac rhythm Management.

With a lean team led by Dr. Eberhard Kromer, SKW Schwarz comprehensively advised Vascotube on all transaction-related legal issues, developing efficient solutions together with Willkie Farr & Gallagher as Cirtec’s legal counsel.
