2018 Christmas donation: SKW Schwarz supports Hamburg Boys’ Choir and UKE project “Music helps healing”

This year’s Christmas donation of SKW Schwarz Rechtsanwälte goes to St. Nikolai Hamburg Boys’ Choir and to University Hospital Hamburg-Eppendorf (UKE). The donation will be handed over by SKW Schwarz partner Frank van Alen at the choir’s concert for the benefit of the “Music helps healing” UKE project at Hamburg’s Laeiszhalle on December 8, 2018. The St. Nikolai Hamburg Boys’ Choir, comprised of some 120 boys and young men between the ages of 8 and 25, uses donations to finance the cost-intensive education at the association’s multi-stage choir school, as well as performances and orchestra operation. Additional information on the Hamburg Boys’ Choir is available at www.hamburger-knabenchor.de

UKE’s “Music helps healing” project, developed jointly with Hamburg University of Music and Theatre, aims to explore how music can help people get healthy. For this purpose, sound worlds are developed at the hospital, which are designed to promote peace and healing. Additional information on University Hospital Hamburg is available at https://www.uke.de/english/index.html

“It is a special concern of our law firm to promote cultural and non-profit projects on a regional level,” said van Alen. “We are pleased to support two initiatives in Hamburg this year that are dedicated to the uplifting and healing effects of music.”
