SKW Schwarz advises Ariens on acquisition of AS-Motor

SKW Schwarz Rechtsanwälte has advised the US multi-brand group AriensCo on the acquisition of owner-managed AS-Motor GmbH.

Even after the complete takeover by Ariens, the AS-Motor brand is to be retained; management will remain in the hands of Maria Lange, the granddaughter of AS-Motor's founder.

AriensCo, headquartered in Brillion in the US state of Wisconsin, employs around 1,700 people. The company is led by fourth-generation owner Dan Ariens and produces zero-turn rotary mowers, lawn tractors and snow blowers under the Ariens, Gravely and Countax brands, among others.

AS-Motor GmbH, a family-owned company based in Bühlertann, Germany, sells mowing equipment for the tall grass segment and landscape maintenance and is the market leader in these areas in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
