SKW Schwarz advises BID Ku’damm-Tauentzien

SKW Schwarz Rechtsanwälte advised Berlin-based business improvement district BID Ku’damm-Tauentzien GmbH on developing and establishing real estate and site association Immobilien- und Standortgemeinschaft (ISG). On June 7, 2018, following a four-year planning and voting phase, the Berlin Senate Department of Justice announced in the Berlin Law and Ordinance Gazette that the real estate and site association BID Ku’damm-Tauentzien had been founded. The public law and urban development contract for the foundation of Ku’damm-Tauentzien real estate and site association was signed on July 6, 2018.

BID Ku’damm-Tauentzien is intended to improve the quality of sites in the area from Wittenbergplatz in the Tempelhof-Schöneberg district to Uhlandstraße in the Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf district. In November 2014, the Berlin House of Representatives had passed the law on establishing real estate and site associations to offer property owners in shopping streets the opportunity to improve their environment and make it more attractive on their own initiative.

As local service provider, BID Ku’damm-Tauentzien GmbH plays a central role in establishing, implementing, and terminating the real estate and site association. It is a subsidiary of City-Dienst GmbH and is founded on the commitment of members of the City working group.
