SKW Schwarz has been awarded the JUVE Award 2023 in the category "Law Firm of the Year for Trademark and Unfair Competition Law". The JUVE Awards are recognized as the most prestigious honours in the German legal market and were presented on October 26th at the Old Opera House in Frankfurt.

The JUVE commendation underscores SKW Schwarz's pioneering role in digital transformation and effective collaboration with the firm's IT, data protection, and media law specialists. Additionally, the remarkable presence in IP-related litigation and the strategic growth achieved through the recruitment of renowned lateral partners, such as Dr. Oliver Stöckel and Dr. Rembert Niebel, are highlighted.

Oliver Stöckel, Head of the Intellectual Property (IP) department at SKW Schwarz, stated:

"SKW Schwarz stands for dynamics, innovation and quality. Every day, our IP team diligently pursues these ideals. We highly appreciate the commendations from our clients and the recognition by our peers and industry experts. Especially when this acknowledgment culminates in a JUVE Award. We are overwhelmed, grateful and happy!"

SKW Schwarz's IP department consists of 36 specialized lawyers, of which 15 are partners. Their consultancy range includes, inter alia, trademark and design law, unfair competition law, copyright law, and technical IP rights such as patents. Prominent focus topics are the New Economy, technology, and data-driven industries.

The JUVE Awards honour law firms and legal departments across a total of 18 main categories and an additional 19 sub-categories for their particularly successful and dynamic development over the past year. The selection of the awardees is based on comprehensive research conducted by the JUVE editorial team for the "JUVE Handbook of Commercial Law Firms", during which several thousand law firms and clients are surveyed.
