ISDE Sports Conventions

On May 19, Madrid will once again host the renowned ISDE Sports Conventions (ISC) at Santoña Palace. The conference is organized by the Instituto Superior de Derecho y Economia and the Spanish soccer league LaLiga. Other partners include the Spanish Bar Association, the Madrid Chamber of Commerce, and the Madrid City Council. The objective of the conference is to establish a link between practice and academia in the field of sports.

In addition to this, there will be a variety of different panels:

• Panel 1: Leading case of the TAS 2023
• Panel 2: Regulation of Agents
• Panel 3: Digital Challenges in the Sports Sector
• Panel 4: Present and Future of Professional Leagues
• Panel 5: Sustainable challenges in sporting events
• Panel 6: Analysis of the legal implications of the new Sports Law
• Panel 7: Presence of women in the leadership and management of sports organizations

In the third panel, Digital Challenges in the Sports Sector, speakers will include longtime ISDE lecturer Dr. Nepomuk Nothelfer of SKW Schwarz. He will share the stage with Alfredo Bermejo (Digital Strategy Director at LaLiga), Rodrigo Miranda Beltrán (Managing Director at Instituto Superior para el Desarrollo de Internet) and Panagiotis Aroniadis (Founder of Stars Inc. 11 and Social Media Manager at NBA). The panel will be moderated by Manuel González Hernández (Director del programa de tecnología y cultura digital Zoom Net, Televisión Española).
