SKW Schwarz advises Tradebe on the establishment and operational activities of its first German subsidiary

SKW Schwarz Rechtsanwälte advised the Chemicals Division of Tradebe Company on establishing its first German subsidiary and the subsequent contract negotiations for a long-term development partnership with BASF. The new subsidiary Tradebe GmbH will lead the development of a sustainable chemical plant for solvent chemical recycling of the material from production cycles of BASF Schwarzheide GmbH in Germany’s Lusatia region. The recycling operation will be carried out on the BASF site with existing equipment that will be rebuilt and reused for the fractional distillation, separation, and purification of solvent chemicals. The completion date of the 5-million-euro investment is scheduled for early 2020.

Tradebe is a leading, global company in the environmental sector serving various markets including industrial, manufacturing, petrochemical, pharmaceutical, oil & gas, etc. offering services in Europe (UK, Spain and France and Germany), the Middle East and in the US. The company, employing more than 2,100 people worldwide, generates annual revenue in excess of EUR 500 million and operates more than 80 facilities across Spain (30), United Kingdom (20), United States (22), France (2), and the Middle East, Oman (7) and now Germany.

Tradebe GmbH, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Tradebe, has its administrative headquarters in Schwarzheide. The company intends to create twelve new jobs in the medium term. The partner company in the BASF Group employs around 1,780 people at its production site in Lusatia.
