Madeleine Metzer specializes in advising on all intellectual property (IP) issues with a particular focus on non-technical IP rights and advises national and international clients on all issues of trademark, design, competition and copyright law. She has particular industry experience in the life science, consumer goods and fashion sectors.
In addition to providing strategic advice and support for international trademark and design portfolios (including rights clearance and the development of filing strategies), her work also includes the enforcement and defense of intellectual property rights in and out of court, for example through representation before the relevant trademark offices and litigation in court disputes (in particular in proceedings for interim legal protection) or border seizure proceedings.
Another focus of our work is the provision of advice on competition law, in particular with regard to the design of advertising measures or product design and advertising material.
