World Trademark Review WTR 1000: Silver ranking for leading German IP practice by SKW Schwarz

In the WTR 1000 Germany ranking recently published by the World Trademark Review magazine, SKW Schwarz was again ranked in Tier 2 (silver) with the IP department.

The publisher comments as follows:

“SKW Schwarz stays up to date with legal developments through its active participation in organisations such as the Virtual Reality Business Club and it is the founding member of the Branded Content Marketing Association for the Germany, Austria and Switzerland region. As a result, cutting-edge mandates are executed with class and style.”

Furthermore, our partners Ulrich Hildebrandt (silver), Margret Knitter (silver) and Sandra Sophie Redeker (silver), Dorothee Altenburg (bronze) and Magnus Hirsch (bronze) were especially highlighted.

WTR 1000 writes about this:

Margret Knitter ‘is widely recognised and respected in the community for her analysis and application of trademark law in Germany and the European Union. She is always involved in high-profile litigation and her advice is both practical and realistic. She takes the time to follow up with her clients on every occasion.’”

“Simply outstanding, Hildebrandt knows everything there is to know about trademarks.”

“An unyielding litigator, Sandra gets straight to the point and is highly effective. She is fantastic in court and always keeps cost considerations in mind.”

“From worldwide prosecution to dispute resolution, Hirsch gets results. He is also lovely to work with – super responsive and keen to find the best possible route forward.”

“A go-to for all complex instructions, the bright, hardworking and commercially minded Altenburg is a trustworthy and excellent lawyer.”

The WTR 1000 is still the only publication that exclusively recommends experts and law firms in the brand area and this year for the tenth time names the leading players in over 80 important jurisdictions worldwide.

Individual practitioners, law firms and trademark attorney practices qualify for inclusion in the WTR 1000 solely on receiving sufficient positive feedback from market sources. The extensive research process was conducted over a four-month period by a team of full-time analysts and involved over 1,500 face-to-face and telephone interviews with trademark specialists across the globe. The publication therefore serves as a one-stop source of reference for anyone seeking trademark legal services.
