SKW Schwarz advises on the sale of dasNetz to Tampnet

SKW Schwarz advised the shareholders of dasNetz AG on the sale of the company to Tampnet AS. The Norwegian provider of offshore communication network infrastructure is thus continuing its growth in the offshore wind power sector.

Founded in 2008, dasNetz AG is headquartered in Halle/Westphalia and is a leading provider of wireless connectivity in the offshore sector in Germany. The company provides wireless connectivity and IoT services to the offshore wind industry, service operation vessels (SOV) and ports.

Tampnet was founded in 2001 in Stavanger, Norway, and operates the world's largest offshore high-performance communication network in the North Sea and the Gulf of Mexico. Tampnet expects that the expansion in Germany will add 25,000-30,000 square kilometers of network coverage and significantly increase available bandwidth to support the digitization of the offshore industry.
