SKW Schwarz advises Becker & Kries on acquisition of Kurfürstendamm 156 in Berlin

SKW Schwarz Rechtsanwälte advised Becker & Kries Group on the acquisition of the commercial building Kurfürstendamm 156 in Berlin. The building's exterior is a largely true-to-original replica of “Kabarett der Komiker” that was designed by Erich Mendelsohn and destroyed in the Second World War. As part of the "WOGA complex," it is classified as a historical building. The property comprises a two-story building with underground parking, housing a mix of various commercial restaurant, entertainment and retail establishments, as well as a rehearsal room of the neighboring theater Schaubühne am Lehniner Platz. The purchase price was in the double-digit million range.

The real estate team at the Berlin office of law firm SKW Schwarz has been advising Becker & Kries for a long time on matters of real estate law, including on real estate transactions for several years. The real estate team is headed by Dr. Olaf Kreißl (Property Law, Construction Law) and Dr. Klaus Jankowski (Public Law).
