SKW Schwarz partner edits legal commentary on succession law

Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Burandt, a partner at SKW Schwarz Rechtsanwälte, and Dieter Rojahn, Presiding Judge at Munich Higher Regional Court, are the editors of a new cross-sectional commentary on succession law. The book, which has 1,667 pages, is published by C.H. Beck Verlag and forms part of the publishing house’s series of short commentaries “Beck’sche Kurz-Kommentare”.

The commentary looks not only at succession-related regulations in the German Civil Code (BGB) but also at key supplementary laws relating to succession as well as at procedural regulations and selected regulations from the Introductory Act to the German Civil Code (EGBGB). Succession and gift tax legislation as well as the regulations which are relevant to income tax are dealt with in detail. In addition, it sets out the legislation concerning lawyers’ fees. Finally, the work contains a number of country reports which provide an insight into succession regulations in France, Italy, Luxembourg, Austria, Romania, Switzerland, Spain and the USA. The commentary therefore covers the entire examination catalog for anyone who is training to qualify as a specialist lawyer for succession law.
