“Recht im Verlag” (Publishing Law): SKW Schwarz partners are publishing a new edition

The attorneys Dr. Konstantin Wegner and Dr. Daniel Kaboth, partners at SKW Schwarz Rechtsanwälte, as well as Dieter Wallenfels, a partner at Fuhrmann Wallenfels, deal with the latest legal relationships in publishing in the second edition of the book “Recht im Verlag“ (Publishing Law).

The manual recently published by C.H. Beck considers all the advances important for publishers and the book trade. Copyright and publishing rights for digital products, responsibility for contents, behavior regarding warnings, licensing deals and audio books are key areas. In addition, topics such as price fixing innovations, the new jurisdiction of the Federal Constitutional Court regarding the conflict between press freedom and rights linked to the person as well as internet piracy are covered.

The work, comprising approx. 520 pages, provides concrete practical solutions to legal questions in the field of publishing. It contains numerous specimen contracts which were drawn up in collaboration with the German Publishers & Booksellers Association and which are already valid as standard contracts. The book is aimed not only at attorneys, corporate attorneys, publishers, people who work in publishing and booksellers, but also at everyone involved with copyright and publishing rights.
