SKW Schwarz advises Maximiles on takeover of panelbiz
SKW Schwarz Rechtsanwälte and the French office Kahn & Associés have been jointly advising Maximiles S.A. on the complete takeover of panelbiz GmbH.
Among other things, panelbiz runs meinungsplatz.de, the leading portal for online surveys in Germany. With 220,000 subscribers, the company offers the largest B2C access panel for customer surveys in Germany; in addition there are 40,000 subscribers in Switzerland and Austria.
Maximiles acquired panelbiz from Holtzbrinck Ventures GmbH, Munich, and market research institute Innofact AG with its headquarters in Berlin. The 100 % takeover of shares in panelbiz GmbH was paid for in cash and backdated to 1 July 2010. The previous management remains in office. It was agreed not to disclose the purchase price.
Founded in 1999, today Maximiles is the market leader for online customer loyalty in Europe and one of the main players in the fields of customer loyalty, customer knowledge and data mining. In 2009 the company achieved sales of approx. 15.6 million euros.
