Jan Schneider provides legal advice to both providers and users in all fields of information technology law, new media law and all related practice areas. His expertise ranges from legal structuring and assistance in IT projects such as system integration and outsourcing to legal counselling as regards the conception, design, marketing, provision and use of cloud services and other current IT and telecommunication services. He further assists public authorities in pursuing IT procurement procedures.

In internet law, Jan Schneider focuses on assisting providers in the development and implementation of business models, products and services for the e- and m-business, which also comprises the drafting of general conditions of business or use. He deals with all legal issues relating to advertising in e- and m-commerce as well as with the legal aspects of Web 2.0. Operators of internet platforms are among Jan Schneider’s clients as well as developers, providers and marketers of web content. Any related issues referring to telecommunication law are also covered by him to ensure integral legal counseling.

Review, development, structuring, drafting and negotiation of contracts in all fields of IT law form an essential part of Jan Schneider’s legal practice.

Further key practice areas of Jan Schneider are data privacy and IT compliance. In these fields, Jan Schneider advises – amongst others – cloud providers and other IT service providers in the development of data privacy concepts and in ensuring an adequate data privacy standard, particularly as regards service provision in the field of contracted data processing.
