SKW Schwarz advised Dialog Semiconductor GmbH in the acquisition of power management business from Diodes Zetex GmbH
Munich, 8th of February, 2010. – A team of SKW Schwarz Rechtsanwälte, led by Dr. Sebastian Graf von Wallwitz and Eva Bonacker, has advised Dialog Semiconductor GmbH in the acquisition of a power management business unit from Diodes Zetex GmbH.
The Dialog Semiconductor group is headquartered near Stuttgart and listed on the Frankfurt stock exchange (FWB: DLG). With more than $160 million in revenue 2008, it was the fastest growing European public semiconductor company, achieving a growth rate of more than 85%. Dialog Semiconductor creates energy-efficient, highly integrated, mixed-signal circuits optimized for personal mobile, lighting & display and automotive applications. With this present acquisition of complementary technology from Diodes Zetex, Dialog Semiconductor continues to execute on its strategy of strengthening technology leadership in integrated power management. To Dialog Semiconductor, the transaction offers prospects of creating new products with higher levels of integration and unique features for user interface and control over battery energy use within smartphones, netbooks and other portable media devices.
As part of this transaction, Dialog Semiconductor has acquired specific Diodes Zetex intellectual property rights and an employee team located in Munich, Germany.
