Klaus Jankowski advises his German and international clients on investment and settlement projects in Germany, in particular real estate and technology related industries. He specializes in public and regulatory laws in relation to planning and construction of projects.
Dr. Jankowski further specializes in health care, in particular hospital operations. One of Germany’s largest hospital operators is Dr. Jankowski’s client.
Dr. Jankowski is also known for his work in construction and real estate, specifically in retail green field and brown-field projects (zoning, planning and design, construction contracts, operational contracts); recourse against municipal and other public authorities in case of failed projects; has been pivotal in several exemplary legal proceedings in relation to public planning and zoning matters; negotiation and disputes for technology-related contracts in the real estate industry; negotiations for architects and engineering contracts (fees, damages, performance); and has been influential in several cases relating to state subsidies for technology and real estate.
Dr. Jankowski’s work in the health care field is noteworthy: negotiating and pursuing hospital operators’ claims from supply and service contracts with external service companies; large-scale debt collection for hospital operators against patients and public and private health insurers.
Dr. Jankowski studied at the University of Hamburg, 1999, and wrote his doctorate on pollution control laws.
