After completion of his banking apprenticeship with Dresdner Bank Manfred Ottinger studied Law at the Universities of Bonn and Passau. Thereafter, he was employed at a private consulting enterprise for several years and returned to Dresdner Bank in 1993, Region Rheinland, where he worked as an authorised signatory (“Prokurist”) in the Institutional Restructuring Unit (IRU). The main focus of his practice includes the risk management with respect to loan engagements of medium-sized and larger enterprises as well as the bankinglike management of insolvency procedures. In this capacity Manfred Ottinger is a member of various committees of inspection. For years he has been lecturer at the Association for Banking Vocational Education e. V. in Frankfurt and holds seminars, including inhouse-seminars, and workshops in the field of insolvency law.
