SKW Schwarz advises Schörghuber Unternehmensgruppe during restructuring of the hotel sector
SKW Schwarz Rechtsanwälte advised the group Schörghuber Unternehmensgruppe during the restructuring of its activities in the hotel sector. With effect from 1 July 2011, Arabella Hospitality Group and Starwood Hotels & Resorts, which form part of the Schörghuber Group, are dissolving the joint venture Arabella Starwood Hotels & Resorts.
In future, Arabella Hospitality Group will focus on the management of hotel real estate. Starwood Hotels & Resorts is taking over the management of the 23 hotels run by the joint venture until now. The transaction is the largest restructuring measure taken by the Schörghuber Group in the hotel sector to date.
SKW Schwarz already advised the Schörghuber Group in 2010 upon the sale of its South African hotels. The office is also taking over the day-to-day legal consultancy of the 20 German Arabella hotels.
