SKW Schwarz advises Paulaner on sale of Hubauer Getränke & Logistik
SKW Schwarz Rechtsanwälte advised the Paulaner Brewery, a subsidiary of Schörghuber Unternehmensgruppe, on the sale of M. Hubauer GmbH & Co. Getränke und Logistik KG and its subsidiaries to the beverage wholesaler Trinks Süd GmbH.
Paulaner is parting with its shares in the beverage and logistics company Hubauer with effect from 1 July 2011 and will concentrate on the brewing industry and its marketing from now on. The deal is still subject to approval by the Federal Cartel Office.
With annual sales of approximately one billion euros, the Trinks Group is the market leader in the German wholesale beverage trade. Paulaner had taken over Hubauer Getränke & Logistik, a company founded in 1923, in 2005.
Background:
SKW Schwarz had already advised Schörghuber Unternehmensgruppe in the beverages sector when the joint venture with Heineken was set up. For SKW Schwarz, advising Paulaner on this additional deal represents a continuation and consolidation of its successful work for the Schörghuber Group.
